I am a native of Gorongosa, born here on the 31st August 1981. Before beginning third level education, I worked as a teacher for two years in Marromeu. I finished my Bachelors Degree in Agribusiness at the Polytechnic Institute of Manica in 2009. While studying, I interned as a quality supervisor in the selection of fresh produce in Vanduzi Company. From 2010 to 2011, I worked at IFDC (International Fertilizer Development Center) collecting and compiling data on Conservation Agriculture. In 2012 I joined the team here at Gorongosa National Park, working within the Conservation Department under the Forestry Programme with a particular focus on Mount Gorongosa. In 2014 I participated in the 7th International Seminar on Watershed Management in Arizona, USA. I am currently forest supervisor and work to ensure the management of this program. Working with a multidisciplinary team, I feel proud to be part of the restoration of our wonderful Gorongosa National Park.
