Farming is an important part of life in Africa and many of the people who live around Gorongosa depend on growing crops for food. We are working with the children of these communities to teach them how to grow nutritious food while also nurturing the environment using techniques that protect Gorongosa’s fragile ecosystem. We are working with teachers and students to build gardens at their school - creating an outdoor classroom where kids can learn useful, hands-on skills that are also good for nature.
It costs about $150 per garden to supply a school with the tools and supplies they need like seeds, rakes, hoes, watering cans, and wheelbarrows. All donations are tax deductible.
Help build a school garden and protect the Gorongosa ecosystem. Make a donation today.
